Our Services

Water Resource Design

Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) and flood risk management are a fundamental part of the modern built environment. We are able to offer Flood Risk assessments, SuDS compliant Storm and Foul water Drainage Strategies, Flood Alleviation and Compensation designs and Foul Pumping Station designs through engagement with specialist design partners.

Earthworks Design

Using 3D software we can prepare 3D models from topographical surveys over which proposed 3D designs are overlaid to enable Cut and Fill volumetric analysis to be undertaken along with the 3D design of levels for highways, external works, drainage, swales and retaining requirements.

Highway Design

In accordance with the requirements of Local Highway Authorities and the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) we can deliver S278 offsite highway schemes for all junction forms be that roundabout, signalised, simple or ghosted. Designs will include signage and carriageway markings, street lighting will be provided through engagement with specialist design partners.

Development Infrastructure

Liaising with approving bodies such as the Environment Agency, Lead Local Flood Authority, Drainage and Highway authorities design can be delivered for S104 sewer adoptions, private drainage design, S185 sewer diversions, S38 adoptable highway designs, detailed external works to include levels, car parking, asphalt paved and block paved hardstandings and roads, concrete yards

Planning Support

Through early engagement we can offer support to determine access requirements to a site, provide Flood Risk assessments and drainage strategies, review Road Safety Audit recommendations and identify the implications the highway layout may have on the development layout in terms of junction form, visibility provision and vehicle swept paths.

Flood Risk Assessments

Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) identify the potential sources of flooding to a development and seek to outline potential mitigation measures and justification confirming why development is appropriate and whether the development poses a risk to areas nearby. FRA’s will be prepared in accordance with Environment Agency (EA), Local and National government planning advice and requirements. An FRA is usually produced to support planning applications and is quite often prepared in conjunction with Foul, Surface Water and SUDs strategies to demonstrate effective management of water resources. As part of the FRA preparation we would also advise on the need for any EA permits and licences required by the development proposals.

Public Realm Design

We work with Urban Designers and Landscape Architects to provide public realm projects that include hard and soft landscaping, event terracing, sports and play areas, SuDS, pocket gardens, allotments and “Play on the Way” from small Neighbourhood Greens to large Major Urban Parks.

Master Planning

To aid site purchases or land development we would closely collaborate with the delivery team to review highway alignments, flood risk and drainage, gradients, site levels and similar engineering constraints.

How we do it

We aim to deliver projects with experience, professionalism and flexibility providing a quality service clients can trust. We operate a friendly, open and transparent service with technically excellent application using contemporary design software. We understand our clients needs for cost effective solutions and will work closely and proactively within the design team to minimise risk, meet deadlines and provide a legacy whereby the development works for everyone.
